The Appenzell Golfclub Gonten is located in the hills of Appenzell, 910 m above sea level. The lovely rolling countryside provides a perfect setting for an interesting and challenging 9-hole golf course - par 31. The clubhouse situated atop a gentle hill overlooking the course affords a wonderful view of the romantic Appenzell countryside and the imposing Alpstein mountains. The course is surrounded by pastureland and woods, and bordered by a nature reserve to the south.
The double-decker driving range has 35 practice tees (11 covered). A generous approach area and putting green round off the facilities. Both clubhouse and the pro shop are housed in what was once a farmhouse. |
