Although classified as an alpine golf course, the Engelberg course is situated on level terrain, providing both golfers with higher handicaps and advanced players with a real challenge.
Mario Verdieri of Grison, who has wide experience in designing golf courses, has integrated the fairways into the natural surroundings with great sensitivity. The greens are well protected by bunkers and water hazards. Each of the 18 holes has its own character and poses a real challenge to all players. Golfers can enjoy unique panoramas of snow-capped mountains in two directions. Tranquillity and fresh mountain air not far from cities such as Lucerne (30 min.), Zurich (70 min.) and Basel (80 min.) make the new Engelberg golf course especially attractive.
